Witness by Denise Levertov
is hidden from me in veils
of cloud, sometimes
I am hidden from the mountain
in veils of inattention, apathy, fatigue,
when I forget or refuse to go
down to the shore or a few yards
up the road, on a clear day,
to reconfirm
that witnessing presence.

When I saw this photo of the mountain I thought of Denise Levertov's poem, Witness. It reminded me to take the time to really look, to examine, and to pay attention to our surroundings. Thank you Denise for the poem and to Gottfried for the photo. As always, Trudy

Hi Trudy,
I have been reading your blog whenever I get the chance and I am always amazed at your ability to put such a positive spin on everything.
I have been thinking about you and praying for you and Gottfried many times over the past while. Unfortunately I have never been great with words like you are.
I am so happy that the worst of your treatments is coming to an end and you will be able to start allowing your body to heal and grow stronger every day. Remember you will have many more wonderful years ahead of you after this is over.
Love from Heather and Bruce
